Red Crab - Juicy Seafood

Food was delicious and service was amazing! The staff are very friendly and accommodating! The only reason why I gave the place 4 stars instead of 5 is because the boils have been a little salty my last couple times here but I keep coming back so it's obviously not that big of a problem! The deals are also amazing. We got 2 holiday specials put together in a tray and man, I'm still thinking about it almost 2 weeks later 😂. Go for a nice time, some nice food, and a great atmosphere!

I have been looking for a good seafood restaurant where I can create my own seafood bag. Since I was nervous about the taste and freshness of the shellfish I only picked 1/2lbs of black mussels, 1/2lbs of headless shrimp and one lobster tail with mild Cajun seasoning. The bag came with only 2 small potatoes and 1 half corn in it which I believe is not enough if you think about the money I paid for 1 bag of seafood, I definitely suggest to be more generous on the sides they put in those bags. Also, the lobster tail was the smallest lobster tail I have ever eaten! Really!!! The Cajun seasoning was delicious. I had cocktail shrimp as an appetizer but didn't like it. Waitress had very limited knowledge about the menu, we kind of got nervous every time we ask questions to her about the options. She might be new. I will continue with my search for a restaurant where I can get seafood bag since I believe this restaurant is overpriced and you get very small portions for the price you pay.

Good food for the price. If you get the bag the everything season was fantastic. Just remember it is all cooked at the same time and temperature, thus some of your seafood may be overcooked. The thirty-dollar baked or grilled deal was an amazing great price and perfectly cooked. The oysters on the half shelf were fresher than Al's steakhouse on Valentine's day! The service is rocky. There are a lot of people standing around. They have a lot of front-of-the-house skills to work on. It seems like the waitresses were taking on too much. The atmosphere is cute but the tv kind of ruins the vibe. It's very bright in the foyer. I recommend sitting further in the back so you don't have all that light to create a somewhat better atmosphere. The bathrooms were just wrong, lol. There was a heater plugged in right next to the sink. You can see by the pictures it needs a deep cleaning. The food was good and a great value. A new front-of-the-house manager to teach people skills to the staff that hangs by the register would be helpful. Deep clean the bathrooms. Fix your heat situation in the bathroom before you get sued. I truly hope you succeed. I will be back to see your improvements.

Our experience here was quite the mixed bag. Some of the food was absolutely delicious and some was so bad we spit it out. For instance, the fried calamari appetizer was atrocious. Most of the pieces tasted old and gummy. And the clam chowder, while not bad, is more of a potato soup than a clam chowder. It didn’t have the rich thickness and there were barely any clams, though I must’ve had at least two whole potatoes. Again, it didn’t taste bad, but it wasn’t what I ordered. The fried shrimp, though, was amazing: light and crispy, with just the right amount of spice. And the boil we got was tasty as well, with the lobster tail being a particular delight. But all the sides were very middling and the potatoes were a little undercooked. And the service leaves much to be desired. They weren’t rude, but we were essentially ignored after ordering. With the food being so hit-or-miss, I don’t think we’ll be trying it again.

Our server Brittany was 5 stars 🤩, she was attentive, friendly and conversational but not intrusive. I LOVED my meal of Cajun rice & shrimp, which exceeded my expectations. We also ordered the Thursday special which included shrimp & snow crab. The special was very good as well. I had the Coronarita to drink and it was worth the price. I normally do not enjoy seafood boil places, but this one was excellent. I will definitely be back.

I've order from this place on 3 separate occasions. The food is delicious. I am currently eating the leftovers from yesterday's order & it is so dang good. Portion size is perfect. I order the garlic butter sauce with mild heat and have tried 3 different meals. Everything is delicious. What's pictured: Low Country boil and I added boiled eggs and broccoli to the bag.
